Back To School They Go!

Back-to-school season is upon us and there is no better welcome than with flowers… and we mean that literally!Studies show that flowers trigger happy emotions, ultimately leading to a better well being for you and your classroom. What student doesn’t want a happy teacher? What teacher doesn’t want happy students? So there you have it, the key to happiness for your 2017-2018 school year is FLOWERS. Get your favorite teacher a plant or flower to decorate their room. This small gesture will go a long way! Or, if you’re the teacher – treat yourself and your students! And remember, this doesn’t need to be a wedding-style centerpiece – a few loose stems in a mason jar will do the trick!

Still unsure about the immediate impact flowers have on their recipients? We did a little research on our own and found a study done in by “Grower Direct” conducted in January 2017. These participants expressed delight and gratitude, the reaction was universal for all age groups tested. Flowers also have a long-term positive effect on moods. Specifically, the “Grower Direct” participants reported feeling less depressed, anxious and even agitated after receiving flowers. This, ultimately increasing productivity levels – perfect for you and your students! In addition, flowers help make intimate connections, increasing contact with family and friends (or in your case.. students, classmates and even co-workers).
