“Vanda”

Recently the popularity of orchids, both potted and cut have tremendously grown! Fresh orchids are found in so many of our most popular arrangements and we can’t keep orchid plants in-store long enough that we even need to give them a drink of water! It’s for good reason, orchids are simple and sophisticated to the eye. No matter the color, variety or size. Everyone loves orchids!

But today, today we are focused on VANDA ORCHIDS.

These specific orchids are valued for their large (very large), fragrant, and long lasting flowers. They come in many rich colors and each stem typically has 8-10 blooms. Vanda orchids are native to tropical climates in India, Thailand, New Guinea, the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

FUN FACT: Vandas do not need soil to grow! In fact, potting these beauties in soil would cause the roots to rot. In the wild, they grow on trees with their roots hanging loose in the air or wrapped around a tree. The roots are sponge-like and will absorb water quickly.

What are you waiting for- come check them out today!
